Helens writing is so engaging and thought provoking. for me there are so many truisms in what she says. Being an artist is not easy and requires digging deep into one's soul in order to make authentic art.
I'm recommending Heathers Ageless Artist Precisely because its a "newsletter about challenges and successes relating to living and working producing art as a 50+ artist" and I am 66 and facing those challenges and celbrating some successes.
A Poet and philosopher, David Whyte's writing explores the timeless relationship of human beings to their world, to creation, to others, and to the end of life itself. They never fail to move me… it's visceral. I notice that often I'm close to tears and I can't quite pinpoint why. I just know they are precious.
I'm recommending this having read several posts and heard a few episodes of Victoria's podcast. They are interesting, insightful and beautifully delivered. A good read / listen.
